The Institute for Texan Cultures is recruiting mature young adults who have a passion for Texas and the desire to share that passion with museum visitors. Junior Docents A junior docent is a student age 15-17 who volunteers his or her time to make Texas history come alive at our museum! Volunteering as a junior docent is an outstanding way to earn community service hours or demonstrate civic pride on college applications. It's also a great way to make friends! Junior docents fill these important roles: -puppet theater performers -character performers during the Texas Trails and Tales summer program -activity coordinators at museum family events -gallery host -off-site promotions at community events and festivals To discuss joining the junior docent team, please contact: Karen Sanchez Program Coordinator Volunteer Services Institute of Texan Cultures 210-458-2225 karen.sanchez@utsa.edu |
